Overview:

Organizations are constantly on the lookout for Growth and Improvement in Operational Efficiency. In addition to Process improvements, there is a need to invest in People to achieve these aims of an Organization. Investment in people cannot and should not be restricted to Job-related technical Skills. As people grow in an Organization, their Skill to deal with themselves and others gains more and more importance than Technical skills. This requires them to deal with their own Team Members, Peers, Superiors and Clients. Therefore, it is of paramount importance to invest in employees’ People Management Skills. The success of an Organization can be directly correlated to the People Management skills of their employees.

To achieve this objective, the basic requirement is the ability to understand self and others. The fact that each person is different, and needs to be interacted with differently for smooth Interpersonal relationship requires to be appreciated. This program works towards developing this special Skill.

Objective:

Theobjectives of this one-day workshop is:

·         To be able to see and understand Self and Others through the lens of the well tested medium of Transactional Analysis

·         To be able to understand and predict Transactions using the template of "Ego states”, the basic building block of the Human mind.

·         To be able to see whatever they have experienced in life so far through a different perspective

·         To help the participants prepare an Agenda for themselves in terms of what characteristics in them they would like to change, in what direction, and to what extent.

·         To develop the Skill to observe patterns and thereby read the state of mind of themselves, and the people that they deal with. This will help them to achieve effective Communication, and also develop their Motivation and Leadership Skills.

·         Application of the learning at the workplace, so as to contribute directly to the Growth and Operational Effectiveness of the Organization.

Content:

The Participants would first be exposed to the basics of TA through an exercise

Once the basic Ego-states are understood, the participants will fill in the Psychometric tool, Egogram Questionnaire, which would basically reflect how they would behave in different situations. This would give them their scores.

They would learn how to read their scores, observe patterns, and make comparative analysis.

They would then discuss among groups to get a clear understanding of themselves and others through the prism of TA

An Action Plan would be drawn up by them for Personal Development, and also the Application of this knowledge for contributing to their Organizational Goals

Methodology:

The workshop leverages on Interactive Sessions – after all, Human Behavior is something that they have been exposed to since birth, and so they will have rich experiences to contribute. To start with, Participants’ responses are sought for a common trigger. This exercise helps them to understand the three basic Egostates of Parent, Adult, and Child. The participants are constantly encouraged to build on the concepts of TA through their own experiences in life. The Psychometric tool "Egograms” will be administered so that the participants get to understand their own scores, and the significance of these scores. This will help them to prepare their Plan of Action.

For Whom:

The program is designed for all Managers and executives with a minimum of 2 years work experience in any Organization. However, Senior Managers can also benefit a great deal from the Program, since the Workshop deals with overall Human Behavior.

Key Takeaways:

At the end of the training program, the participants would be better equipped to:

·         Observe patterns in Behavior through the medium of Transactional Analysis, and understand Self and Others better.

·         Calibrate their future interactions using the knowledge gained through the Workshop.

·         Develop confidence in having Interpersonal Relationship with a wide range of people that they are likely to come across in the course of their work, and off-work.
