Overview:

 

In today’s VUCA world, corporate life has its own set of challenges! On a day to day basis, corporate executives/staff interact with each other and with customers, vendors, etc. During such times, good Corporate Skills can enhance the image of the organization and the corporate executive too! Corporate Skills can enable better interaction with subordinates, colleagues and superiors, resulting in satisfaction at work and career success too! This training program "Corporate Skills” highlights the benefits of Goal Setting, Interpersonal Skills, Change Management/Transformation and Leadership for both personal and career success! It is a highly interactive session with various training tools.

Objective:

 

Why Corporate Skills

 

·         Why is an employee short tempered with customers and colleagues very often? Transactional Analysis (TA) may have a solution!

·         While we try to keep Personal Life and Corporate Life apart, quite often, they get mixed up, resulting in unhappiness at both office and home! Are there solutions for such problems? Yes!

·         Miscommunication could not only result in interpersonal issues but could also create losses to the organization! So, what is effective communication?

·         Do we find it difficult to adjust to changes? Is change constant? What is the difference between Change and Transformation?

·         When does one transform into a Leader? Are leaders born or made?

 

Content:

 

This training program will discuss mainly 4 topics among Corporate Soft Skills:

 

1. Goal Setting

2. Interpersonal Skills

3. Change Management / Transformation

4. Leadership

 

Each topic will have a variety of training tools like audio clips, video clips, sharing of experiences, examples and anecdotes, etc. to enhance participation and make the participants think and evaluate themselves on where they are today, and where do they want to reach tomorrow!

 

It is important for the employee/corporate executive understand their role in their organization and pay it efficiently and effectively! The training program brings out a lot of discussion and self-analysis to enable participants understands the value of Corporate Soft Skills at work and in life!

 

1. Goal Setting

 

·         What is a Goal?

·         What are short term and long term goals?

·         How is time management tied up with goal setting?

·         What are SMART goals? How to set and monitor them?

·         How to motivate oneself to achieve one’s goals, at work and in life?

 

2. Interpersonal Skills

 

·         A very challenging thought is that when one human being meets another at work, and in life, anything could happen!

·         So, how to manage such interactions by understanding Thoughts, Feelings and Emotions?

·         What is Transactional Analysis? What are the various Life Positions?

·         What are Circle of Concern and Circle of Influence?

·         What are the habits of highly effective people at work and in life?

 

3. Change Management / Transformation

 

·         What is Change?

·         How is it different from Transformation?

·         How to manage work and life in this VUCA world?

·         How to manage stress resulting from several changes?

·         Is change good or bad?

·         How to adapt, adopt and move forward?

 

4. Leadership

 

·         Who is a Leader?

·         Who is a Manager?

·         Where should we strike a balance between Manager and Leader?

·         What are the types of leadership?

·         Are leaders born or made?

·         Is there a Moment of Truth when one realizes that he/she is a leader now?

·         Why is a Democratic/Participative Leader generally popular?

 

Methodology:

This will be a highly interactive PPT presentation along with several training tools followed by a Q&A discussion within each of the 4 sessions.

Ganesh, 60 years young, is a seasoned, performance oriented career banker, having worked with SBI and ICICI Bank Ltd for more than 27 years and retired from ICICI as AGM! He has specialized in Audit, Compliance and Reputational Risk Management in leadership roles.

Subsequently, he was the Head of Content Development and Design for BFSI with NIIT Ltd for about 3.5 years.

Ganesh’s hobbies include travelling, reading, badminton, finance & investment news, etc.
