Gender Diversity - Studies show that business teams with an optimum gender mix perform significantly better than one-sex dominated teams when it comes to productivity, service, sales and profits. However, many organizations fail to devote time and attention to create a more balanced workforce, particularly for higher-level positions. It is fairly common to see fewer women than men in C-level positions, or on work teams that have traditionally been male-dominated services or more importantly in  manufacturing, construction and engineering. Likewise, it’s equally uncommon to find men in traditionally female jobs, such as elementary education and nursing. With a decent workforce equipped with good educational and technical abilities available among both genders, it makes business sense to provide more impetus to gender diversity at work place.

POSH act. Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act,2013. An Act intended to provide protection against sexual harassment of women at workplace (POSH Act) and for the prevention and redressal of complaints of sexual harassment and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.

About the Session

In the wake of #MeTooincidents being reported in the media, some of the critical question that we need to answer is:


· How do we ensure Organisations provide a safer work environment to all their employees?

· Why are employees comfortable reporting to the media rather than reporting internally within the Organisation’s PoSH Committee?

· Is the PoSH Internal committee fully equipped and empowered by the management to prevent and redress harassment incidents?


Through this session we hope to bring that clarity to Organisations, to provide a safer work environment. At the end of this session, the case studies and Roleplay based group discussions will enhance the confidence of the participants to apply their learning to specific scenarios that can arise in real life at their workplace.

She is a speaker at several forums on this topic and has conducted awareness workshops across India on the topic of Prevention of Sexual Harassment, Gender and Diversity sensitization. She is an external member for more than 20 organisation’s POSH Committees.
